Shoprite Checkers Group, a leading retailer in South Africa, continues to advance its renewable energy strategy as part of its goal to power 25% of operations with renewable energy by 2027. As part of this commitment, Sosimple Energy installed a rooftop solar system at Shoprite Morula to help offset daytime electricity demand and reduce operating costs. The system improves energy efficiency, and the property owner further benefits from the system’s rooftop rental income, increasing their non-GLA revenue.
