Sosimple Energy, a leading provider of solar and battery energy solutions, announces a leadership transition in South Africa and ambitious plans for international expansion. Founded in 2018, Sosimple Energy has rapidly expanded, providing innovative Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Rent-to-Own solutions to businesses across South Africa.
Lizet Bloo, current Managing Director for South Africa, will transition to the role of Global Director to spearhead Sosimple Energy’s expansion into new markets. Lizet’s leadership has been key in establishing the company as a top 10 player in the South African solar industry. “I am proud of our rapid growth in South Africa as well as the many inspiring businesses and locations that we get to service on a daily basis.” said Lizet. “As I take on this international role, I am confident that Liana will lead our South African operations to new heights.”
Liana Braxton, who joined Sosimple Energy in 2020, will assume the role of Managing Director for South Africa. Liana has been the driving force behind the company’s growth and is well-positioned to establish further expansion. “I am honoured to lead our talented team,” said Liana. “We will continue our mission to provide affordable, clean energy to South African businesses and leverage our success as a blueprint for international endeavours.”

Growth and Future in South Africa

Expansion Strategy
In 2025, Sosimple Energy is launching in markets outside of SADC, by duplicating its successful business model across countries where access to affordable energy remains a challenge. The South African team will grow accordingly in a bid to support the expansion. “By expanding our reach, we can address the global energy challenge and increase our impact,” said Lizet.
